Talk:One-name study

We have been working through this type of study on my mothers family, "VIDMAR", and after 30 years of research have finally connected my grandfather with his parents and ancesters. The unique challenge was that he was orphaned and living on his own sometime between the ages of 10-14.

Perhaps the one item that was left out in the gathering of information deals with the creation of a database for Paternal DNA testing. The DNA tests can further help to identify the migration habits of a group of people and tie disconnected people together.

Useing this methodology will ensure that when you do breakthrough on a connection that you have a deep reservoir of new connections that you did not have before, since you are really connecting larger pieces of a puzzle together.
