Description

Map My Ancestors transforms your Family Tree into an interactive map that your friends and relations can view using the powerful mapping capabilities of Google Earth and Google Maps.

Map My Ancestors takes the hard work out of plotting your data by using a process called geocoding to automatically locate the places referenced in your family tree. We recognise that Geocoders are not perfect, particularly when dealing with historical place names, so Map My Ancestors allows you to easily amend any location. Use the Google Earth timespan slider to highlight a particular period of history and watch your family history unfold...

Once you have used Map My Ancestors to map your family tree why not share it with the world using the My Maps facility of Google Maps? Just save the Geographic data and import it into Google Maps.
