Description

Ancestris is a genealogy software for the Windows, Linux and Mac OS Operating Systems.

It includes many features and specially a tool to publish the genealogic data on the internet named "WebBook", available as one of the many plugins written for Ancestris. Different packages are provided, even specific packages for Ubuntu (.deb) and Redhat (.rpm). If you add the Ancestris ubuntu repository to synaptic, you will get automatically all updates available.

Ancestris has a mailing list for user support and features requests (english and french).

A development and management site is also available for Ancestris named Trac.
